Professor of Mathematics, Emeritus

Although I retired as of June 2024, I would enjoy hearing from former students via e-mail or Zoom, or in person if you find
yourself in the Worcester area. Don't hesitate to get in touch!

Teaching:
- I taught a wide range of courses in mathematics at the elementary (100-199), intermediate (200-299), and advanced levels (300-399), as well
a large number of tutorials, directed readings, and honors projects and theses (see below). Among 300 level courses, topology was the course
I taught on a regular basis.
- Seminar courses included real analysis, Lie algebras (jointly with John Little), virus dynamics and immunology from a mathematical
perspective, applied and computational topology, networks, computational geometry, and data modeling in Python.
- The following is a somewhat dated (both in style and content) set of introductory lectures on computational topology (or topological data analysis):
YouTube Applied Topology Videos from
Spring 2020, MATH 363.
- The following links to a complete list of all the student tutorials and projects that I directed or co-directed as well as a number of theses for which
I served as a reader. As you can see, the mix of topics drifted over time representing my own changing research interests.
