    Extra Credit Opportunity

    Due: Friday, November 22, in class

    You may earn extra credit for the following:

    1) Attend the Seminar by Kathi Fisler on Wednesday, November 20, at 4:00 p.m. in Smith Labs 155

    2) Write a short (no more than 1 page double spaced) essay summarizing the seminar and giving your own response to it, e.g. What did you find most interesting about the seminar? What did you learn that was new to you?

    Note: If you cannot attend the seminar because of a conflict (check with Prof. Royden ahead of time to make sure your reason for missing it is valid), you may earn extra credit by instead attending the seminar by Prof. Royden on Tuesday, November 19, in O'Neil 123 at 12:30 p.m., and writing an essay as in 2) above.
