There were a lot of good note sheets. Here are some of the ones I liked best (and some of these are now up on my office door). I've put all the note sheets in the black boxes outside my office; if you'd like to reclaim yours, you're welcome to come get it (including if it's on the door!).
This one gets an award for best general artistic conception. (The sketch didn't come across so well on the scan; you'll have to stop by my office door to appreciate its detail.)
This one gets an award for the best illustrations and best embedded math jokes.
This one gets an award for best approximation of modern art.
This one gets an award for most festive organizational borders.
Finally, this one gets an award for the smallest writing (and has a bonus design element, too).
The final will be on Wednesday, December 14, 11:30am-2:00pm, in O'Neil 123 (the usual classroom). There will be review office hours on Monday, December 12, from 11:30-1:00 pm, and on Tuesday, December 13 from 2:00-3:30 pm.
You will be allowed to have one side of one 8.5 by 11 sheet of notes for the exam. All sheets must be handwritten. You can write anything you like on the sheet -- formulas, examples, mnemonics, funny sayings, etc. No magnifying devices allowed. For those who would like to decorate their sheets or otherwise artistically arrange them: I will post my favorite ones on the course website after the exam. I also may post some of them on my office door, where they will live in glory for an undetermined period of time.

The second exam will be in class on Wednesday, November 30. It covers chapters 7, 8, and 9. More details on the exam, as well as lots of practice materials, are available here. For solutions to the practice problems, click here.
Selected solutions to HW #8 can be found here. Note that these are solutions from a slightly different HW set from a past course, so ignore the heading at the top about solutions to HW #9. Also, there are some other problems not on our HW #8, but all problems from HW #8 are contained in these solutions. And the numbers are all the same, except that our problem 48 is problem 44 in these solutions.
Selected solutions to HW #7 can be found here.
The first exam will be in class on Wednesday, October 26. It covers everything we've done in the course through the end of Chapter 6. Chapters 0, 1, and 2 were preliminaries, and so the questions will be drawn from Chapters 3 through 6. More details on the exam, as well as lots of practice materials, are available here. For solutions to the practice problems, click here.
Selected solutions to HW #5 can be found here.
Selected solutions to HW #4 can be found here.
Selected solutions to HW #3 can be found here.
Selected solutions to HW #2 can be found here.
Selected solutions to HW #1 can be found here.
