MONT 104N -- Purgatory Photo "Scavenger Hunt" On our field trip to Purgatory Chasm, please bring a camera (e.g. on your phone). Find and take pictures of: (1) Gneiss rocks (Note: for this and the next one, you may want to consult online sources to help you identify which rocks are which) (2) Granite rocks (3) Evidence for the "angular" description of the boulders in the Chasm (4) Evidence for abrasion (scraping) of the side walls of the Chasm by moving rocks (5) The "Fat Man's Misery" rock formation (6) The "Lover's Leap" rock formation (7) Some evidence of positive human intervention in the Chasm (8) Some evidence of negative human intervention in the Chasm (9) "Interesting" or unfamiliar plant or animal life that you observe while moving around in the Chasm (10) One of the other Natural World Cluster faculty "in action" (i.e. not me!) Identify them by name.
