1. The problems marked (M) require a calculator or Maple. Here is some sample Maple code for computing the left-hand sum for the function f(x) = e^-x² on the interval [0,1], using a partition with 100 smaller intervals:

  evalf(RiemannSum(exp(-x^2),x=0..1,method=left,partition=100));
2. This will be the final problem set of the semester.
