Turn in your homework in the correct folder (Section 03 or 04) outside my office door (Swords 326) by Wednesday noon. There are no mulligans allowed for this assignment.

All problem numbers refer to the Hughes-Hallett, Gleason, McCallum, et al. book, the required text for the course. You should write up solutions neatly to all problems, making sure to SHOW ALL YOUR WORK. A nonempty subset will be graded. You are strongly encouraged to work on these problems with other classmates, although the solutions you turn in should be YOUR OWN WORK.

At the top of your assignment, please list any students or faculty who you worked with on the assignment. If you received help at the Calculus Workshop please include "Calculus Workshop" in your list as well.

Hint: For problem #2, use the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, F(b) - F(0) = integral from 0 to b of F'. You can evaluate the integral by finding the area under the curve.
