Calculus for the Social Sciences II (Section 03)

Final Exam

Monday, May 10, 2:30 - 5:30 pm, Swords 328

The final exam is CUMULATIVE, that is, it covers all material from the first day of class onwards. You should go over homework problems, midterm exams, quizzes and your class notes. Many of the problems and questions we discuss in class are excellent examples of test questions. The solutions to your WebAssign problems can be seen by clicking "View Key" near the top of each assignment. In addition, you can now use WebAssign to practice exercises similar to homework problems by clicking on the "practice another version" tab at the bottom of each problem.

Some sample final exam questions are provided here (PDF File).

For other review questions, see the previous exam review sheets: Exam 1 , Exam 2 , Exam 3 .   Note that some sections are poorly covered by the problems in the Chapter Review Exercises. The Concept-Check at the end of each chapter (before the exercises) is also a source for good questions.

The exam will be designed to take two hours (twice the length of a midterm) although you will have the full 3 hours to complete the exam.

Important Note: You will be allowed one "cheat sheet" 8.5 x 11 piece of paper, front and back, full of whatever formulas, graphs, etc. you wish. You will be given a scientific calculator for the exam which does NOT have graphing capabilities so be prepared to answer questions without your personal calculator or computer.

Final Exam Review Session: Friday, May 7th, 9:30 - 11:00 am in Swords 328. Please come prepared with specific questions.
