The first exam covers Chapters 1 and 2. This is sections 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5 and 2.6. You should go over homework problems and class notes. Some sample problems are listed below. The exam will be designed to take the full class period (45-50 minutes).
