Directions to Holy Cross

Holy Cross is located in Worcester at exit 11 off interstate 290.

If you take the Mass Pike to Auburn, continue straight from the exit, cross route 12 onto the 290 N entrance ramp, and continue north on 290 to exit 11. Turn right at the stoplight after the exit onto College Street.
If you are coming west on I290, exit 11 comes when you are nearly out of Worcester. Coming off the ramp, bear left to pass back under 290, then quickly work your way across the lanes to the righthand side of the street, and turn right at the stoplight onto College Street.
If you aren't on I290 at all, but coming south from downtown Worcester on Southbridge street, turn left on College Street after you go under I290.

Proceed up College Street. The Holy Cross campus and its gates are on your left. The main gate is gate 2, with a small numeral on the right-hand gatepost, and a big sign for Holy Cross. You want gate 7, which is the very last one, and is marked with an inconspicuous "7" on the post. Fifty feet beyond gate 7, the big wrought-iron fence ends at a white frame house, and if you reach that point you've gone too far.

Turn left into gate 7 and proceed up the hill and into the Hogan lot. This is homecoming weekend at Holy Cross. There shouldn't be any difficulty parking before 9, but you may have to park at the far end of the lot.

The contest is in SWORDS HALL. In the map below you have arrived in (29 visitor parking.) In this map, downhill is at the bottom of the map.

Go downhill, following the road, past (3 Hogan Campus Center) towards (11 Fieldhouse.)
Bear right after (3) to pass between (21 Wheeler Hall) and (11 Fieldhouse)
Just as you reach (11 Fieldhouse), take a stairway to your right, descending toward (21 Wheeeler Hall) and (6-7-8 O'Neil-Swords-Haberlin, The Science Complex.)
Follow the road between (21) and (6 O'Neil) to
a stairway which descends through the bushes to a courtyard in front of (7 Swords Hall.)
Enter Swords hall, and walk forward into the atrium, where
You ascend a spiral staircase to the third floor.
On the third floor, turn right off the staircase into Swords Hall, third floor.
Once inside the glass doors, turn right down the hall toward Swords 352/346, where the non-programming portions of the contest will take place.

For handicapped access,

enter at the main Holy Cross gate (34 on the map) [gate 2, not gate 7]
stop and discuss your situation at the guardhouse,
park in from of (5 Beaven) or (8 Haberlin.)
take the ramp down into the Swords-Beaven Courtyard.
Enter Swords from the courtyard, and cross the atrium; the elevator is next to the spiral staircase.
Take the elevator to the third floor and proceed as above.
