- Section 5: Wednesday, December 17, 8:30 AM, in Stein 304
- Exam policy
- • The exam covers everyhthing that we have done in the past.
- • You are allowed to bring a one-sided, regular size, hand-written sheet of paper with formulas to the exam. Making it is a good review for the exam; make sure that you also know how to apply everything that you put on the formula sheet.
- • Bring a non-graphing calculator to the exam if you have one. There will be extra TI-30 calculators available in the exam room.
- • You have three hours for the test, but the exam is designed to take only around two hours. Use any spare time to double check your answers.
To study for the final, review the practice midterms, insisting on the topics where you didn't do well on the past tests. When you think you understand a topic, make sure to test yourself by doing practice problems from the corresponding section in the textbook. Here are solutions to the midterms: First midterm, Second midterm, Third midterm.
Review problems: In addition to the midterm review problems, here are review problems from the material we covered since the last midterm. I also included some extra practice problems from Chapter 4.
- Chapter 4 review problems (p.336):5, 11, 25, 27, 29, 34 (Solution), 37, 45
