unable to install

Dear Sir,

I have problems to install ePiX on my computer( debian linux on i386):

I have followed closely the steps in the INSTALL file, and checked the
makefile.

But building using the "make" command gives the following error messages:

domain.cc : In method 'class vector<ePiX::domain,
allocator<ePiX::domain>>ePIX::domain::slices1()':

domain.cc:116:no matching function for call to 'vector<ePiX::domain,
allocator<ePiX::domain>>::at(int&)'

and the same fo domain:126 and domain:136

If I just continue I will end up with a nonfuctional installaion: e.g. the
command "epix" cannot be found (but e.g. the header files like epix.h are
there).

What mistake am I making, or should I try to get a more recent version of
gcc?
