New release (Version 1.0.6)

This version contains several accumulated tweaks (mostly script options,
but also two sample files under "extras"), and the documentation has been
placed under the GPL instead of the GNU FDL (thanks to Julian Gilbey).

(Version 1.0.5 -- the accumulated tweaks -- never got released.)
