New release (v0.8.10rc10)

The pernicious arrowhead bug turned out to be the result of truncation
(!), and is fixed at last. These things always happen just after an
admission of defeat that the problem won't be fixed anytime soon. :)

This release will probably be promoted to 0.8.10.
