New release (v0.8.9rc1)

The blunt use of the std:: namespace in 0.8.8 has been fixed (eliminated:),
as has the sign bug found by Jacques L'helgoual. The tarball built and
tested successfully under g++-2.96 and 3.0.1, though success (or failure)
reports for more recent compiler versions would be gratefully received.

In other news, ePiX is (as of today) registered on savannah, though I
haven't uploaded any code to the CVS server. Design and coding
(essentially from scratch) on version 0.9.0 is coming along, though
there's nothing usable yet. A "primordial" tarball (from early January) is
available with a short demo file for the very interested:

Please note that this package does not build under g++-3.2 without some
tweaking (though it did build under 2.95), and that the internals have
been revised in the interim. The package (when coaxed to build:) does
illustrate the sort of perspective effects that will be in 0.9.x, though
the demo is not "production quality".
