New release (v0.8.8rc3)

This release contains Jay Belanger's emacs mode and some bash config code
for users of Ian MacDonald's bash completion package. (So you can type,
e.g., "elaps TAB" and have bash complete on all elaps files it finds.) The
program now displays complete version information in output file headers,
and when a script is run with the --version (-v) option. (Previously only
the major version was shown, not the release candidate.) The triple-to-pair
function V introduced in rc1 accepts a triple (not a reference to triple)
as argument.

The next planned change is to re-write everything in a private namespace,
and to implement some internal changes that will separate generation and
printing of data points. This is not likely to happen for a month or more,
however.
